Knowledge

Documenting the voices and stories of our elders.

Every elder carries a library of memory. Our Research & Publications programme is dedicated to documenting the voices, stories and knowledge of our communities before they are lost to time.

Through oral-history projects, field research and careful documentation, we record the experiences of elders, artisans and keepers of tradition. These stories are preserved, studied and published — building an archive of Kashmiri heritage for scholars, students and future generations.

The programme produces written publications, research papers and digital records that make our heritage accessible to all. By turning lived memory into a lasting record, we ensure that the wisdom of one generation becomes the inheritance of the next.

This is heritage preservation at its most fundamental — listening, recording, and making sure our stories are never forgotten.
